Pomegranate and Gold
Throw in a cozy venue and tons of candlelight and this is a wedding that would play up the best of a cold weather celebration.
Vintage Blue and Gold
Palette: sepia, gold, white, scarab blue
I imagined this palette for a couple with vintage sensibilities (perhaps a little Downton Abbey-esque?), and a late winter, early spring wedding date. Or fall. This could be beautiful for a fall wedding, with shades of gold and tan, white and cream, and accents of metallic blue.
Tropical Pineapple
Palette: black, white, yellow, cream
Vintage Romantic Garden
Palette: vine green, parchment paper, pink jasmine
I love the way jasmine vine grows- completely unashamed, it takes over everything and fills the air with perfume. Maybe it’s because the flowers are little, but I’m surprised that I’ve never seen a wedding with florals centered around jasmine – both flower and vine.
Old Holywood Glamour
Palette: blush pink, pearl white, Oscar gold, tuxedo black
The colors and the vintage feel of it had me imagining a glamorous wedding with an Old Hollywood vibe. Champagne coupes, a classic tux, a cascade bouquet, and an old school convertible channel a different era. Gold foil letterpress, a blush pink dress, and candlesticks bring it all up to date. And playful details like bags of popcorn and popcorn ball favors hint at the Hollywood theme without being too obvious. Even the curtains draped over archways echo what you might find in an old movie theater.
Playful, rustic, low key
Palette: black, white, honey gold, green, tan
I love black and white as a way to dress up a rustic event – it seems sort of unexpected and even a little bit modern.
Cherries, Sweet, Summery
Palette: cherry red, grass green, crisp white
I really love the idea of a wedding motif – not a theme, exactly, just something that runs throughout the event. For this summer inspiration board, cherries seemed like a sweet choice. In baskets as centerpieces, in baggies for favors, or even in a hat band or boutonniere, cherries are a simple and affordable motif.
Bright and Breezy
Palette: white sand, palm green, rainbow popsicle
Enter popsicles and a low-key dinner with pillow seating. Ray-Ban Wayfarers, vintage postcards, and a rainbow sherbet cake remind guests (and the happy couple) not to take things too seriously. As though that’s even possible when you’re probably barefoot.
